FX.co ★ RTL Group Q1 Revenue Up 4.1% Organically; Confirms 2024 Outlook

RTL Group, with stock symbol AUO.F, announced a 2.6% increase in their group revenue for the first quarter, achieving 1.3 billion euros. This growth was attributed to a significant rise in TV advertising and streaming revenue, despite a fall in content income. When reviewed organically, the group revenue saw an uptick of 4.1%.

The overall advertising revenue of RTL Group witnessed an increase of 10.1%, amounting to 686 million euros. Meanwhile, content income, procured through the company’s global content business, Fremantle, dipped by 9.2% to 395 million euros. This decline was accredited to timing issues in the UK, Italy, and Germany.

RTL Group reaffirmed the outlook provided on 14th March 2024, and confirmed the group's dividend policy remains unaltered.

Thomas Rabe, the CEO of RTL Group, expressed anticipation towards a dynamic second quarter. He indicated notable events including RTL Deutschland and Groupe M6's broadcast of the Uefa Euro 2024 matches.
