Euro Zone Private Sector Loan Growth Holds Steady at 3.1% in August

Year-on-year growth in private sector loans in the Euro Zone remained unchanged in August 2026, holding at 3.1%, according to data updated on 25 September 2026. The pace of credit expansion was identical to that recorded in July 2026, also at 3.1% on an annual basis.

The figures show that, compared with the same month a year earlier, lending to the private sector in August grew at the same rate as in the previous month, suggesting a period of stability in credit conditions across the currency bloc.
