South Korea Producer Prices Growth Slows in July

South Korea’s producer prices rose 7.7% year-on-year in July 2026, slowing from an 8.5% increase in June. Manufacturing producer prices climbed 12.2%, driven by a 50.7% surge in coal and petroleum products. Prices for computers, electronic and optical equipment jumped 24.2%, while chemical products increased 17.5% and basic metal products rose 16.1%. Prices of agricultural, forestry and marine products inched up 0.7%, and service prices advanced 4%. In contrast, prices of mining products slipped 0.7%. On a month-on-month basis, the Producer Price Index fell 0.4% after remaining unchanged in June.
