Lithuania Current Account Shifts to Surplus

Lithuania’s current account recorded a surplus of EUR 88 million in July 2026, compared with a deficit of EUR 324.8 million in the same month a year earlier. The services surplus widened to EUR 1,097.8 million from EUR 806.5 million in July 2025, while the secondary income surplus also increased to EUR 44.1 million from EUR 30.3 million. At the same time, the goods deficit narrowed to EUR 707 million from EUR 910.9 million over the period. These improvements were partly offset by a wider primary income deficit, which expanded to EUR 347 million from EUR 250.7 million.
