European Stocks Head for Higher Open

European equities were poised to open higher on Wednesday as oil prices extended their decline amid signs of progress in renewed US–Iran negotiations, easing concerns about inflation and the interest rate outlook. President Donald Trump said US officials had a “very good” meeting with Iranian representatives, while Tehran indicated it could reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days if Washington eases military pressure and lifts its blockade of Iranian ports.

Market sentiment was further supported by optimism ahead of Thursday’s US–China summit, which could yield new trade agreements, and by a rally in technology stocks driven by renewed interest in AI-related names. In Europe, investors will focus on September manufacturing activity data from the Eurozone, Germany, France, and the UK. No major corporate earnings releases are expected. In premarket trading, futures on both the Euro Stoxx 50 and the Stoxx 600 were up about 0.3%.
