Italy’s producer prices increased by 7.8% year-on-year in July 2026, up from a 5.8% rise in June and reaching their highest level since February 2023. Excluding energy, domestic producer prices rose 3.3%, following a 2.9% increase in June.
Producer prices in foreign markets also picked up, rising 3.6% year-on-year compared with 3.1% in June. Prices increased in both the euro area (3.7% vs 3.4%) and non-euro area markets (3.5% vs 2.8%). On a monthly basis, overall producer prices climbed 2.4% in July, after remaining unchanged in June.
