Canada’s Ivey PMI climbed to 64.3 in August 2026 from 55.1 in July, surpassing market expectations of 56.2 and marking its highest reading since April 2022. This increase halted a two-month streak of declines. The employment index rose to 55 from 52.2, and the inventories index advanced to 61.4 from 54.9. At the same time, the prices index accelerated to 80.4 from 75.5, while the supplier deliveries index declined to 41.5 from 45.9.
