Iceland’s producer prices rose 13.7% year-on-year in August 2026, down from 18.6% in July and marking the slowest increase in four months. Price growth eased across all major categories, including marine products (16.8% vs 22.5% in July), metal products (27.4% vs 38.9%), food products (3.4% vs 3.6%), other manufacturing industries (3.8% vs 6.1%), products sold domestically (1.9% vs 2.0%), exported products (19.2% vs 26.9%), and exported products excluding marine products (20.4% vs 29.8%). On a monthly basis, producer prices fell 3.3% in August, following a 0.5% decline in July, marking a second consecutive monthly drop and the steepest fall since June 2022.
