US energy companies injected 95 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas into storage in the week ended May 29, bringing total inventories to 2,578 Bcf. This followed a 92 Bcf increase in the previous week and came in below market expectations of a 101 Bcf build. Gas stocks were 3 Bcf lower than at the same time last year but remained 138 Bcf above the five-year average of 2,440 Bcf.
