Argentina Economic Activity Continues to Rise in April

Argentina’s economic activity rose 1.6% year-on-year in April 2026, easing from a sharply upwardly revised 6.2% expansion in March. The sectors with the strongest positive impact were agriculture, livestock, hunting, and forestry, which grew 10.9% year-on-year, and mining and quarrying, which advanced 17.1%. In contrast, fishing shrank 28.4%, while activity also declined in manufacturing (-2.9%) and in wholesale and retail trade and repair services (-3.2%). On a monthly basis, the Monthly Economic Activity Estimate fell 1.5%.
