Angola GDP Growth Accelerates to 5.7% in Q4

Angola’s economy expanded by 5.7% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2025, accelerating from an upwardly revised 2.6% increase in the previous quarter. This growth, driven primarily by non-oil activities, represents the strongest quarterly performance since Q2 2023.

The non-oil sector grew by 7.34% and accounted for 80.91% of GDP, while the oil sector shrank by 1.21%, representing the remaining 19.09% of the economy. Among the fastest-growing segments were information and communication (+65.7%), accommodation and food services (+18%), and manufacturing (+16.5%).

In contrast, oil extraction and refining (-1.2% vs -6.9% previously), as well as diamond and metallic mineral extraction (-7% vs +2.1%), weighed on overall performance. For the full year 2025, Angola’s economic growth stood at 3.1%, down from a revised 4.95% in 2024.
