Greece’s Manufacturing PMI Edges Higher in August, Signalling Steady Expansion

Greece’s manufacturing sector continued to expand in August 2026, with the S&P Global Greece Manufacturing PMI inching up to 54.4 from 54.3 in July 2026. The latest reading, updated on 1 September 2026, reinforces a picture of sustained growth in the country’s factory activity.

Although the month-on-month increase was marginal, the PMI level remains comfortably above the 50.0 threshold that separates expansion from contraction. This suggests underlying resilience in Greece’s manufacturing sector, with August marking another month of positive momentum following July’s already solid performance.

The incremental uptick in the August PMI may indicate that demand and production conditions are holding steady, offering a measure of support to Greece’s broader economic outlook as the third quarter progresses.
