The tally of registered unemployed individuals in mainland France decreased by 21,500 in November 2025, settling at 3.129 million, a drop from October's seven-month peak of 3.151 million. Breaking it down by age group, unemployment among the under-25 segment declined by 15,700, reaching 0.517 million. Meanwhile, joblessness among those aged 50 and above fell by 7,100, totaling 0.809 million. In contrast, unemployment for the 25 to 49 age bracket experienced a slight uptick, increasing by 1,300 to 1.803 million. Annually, the overall count of registered unemployed rose by 197,300 when compared to November 2024.
