Ireland Industrial Production Accelerates in November

Ireland's industrial production experienced a significant upswing of 12.7% in November 2025 compared to the same month the previous year. This marks the most accelerated growth rate in three months, following a revised increase of 7.4% in October. The uptick was primarily driven by a surge in manufacturing output, which climbed 11.7% from October's 6.6% increase, notably led by impressive rises in the textiles, wearing apparel, and leather products sectors (up 22.2% from a mere 2.2%). Examining a wider timeframe, manufacturing production from September to November was 9.3% higher than during the corresponding period in 2024. In detail, the highly internationalized modern sector, which includes chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and electronic products, recorded an impressive 11.3% year-on-year growth. Meanwhile, output in the more domestically focused traditional sector saw a 4.3% increase.
