Estonia Retail Sales Growth Eases in February

Retail sales in Estonia rose by 4.8% year-on-year in February 2026, easing from an almost four-year high of 8.2% in January. Growth slowed in sales of automotive fuel in specialized stores, which increased 16.9% after a 24.2% surge in the previous month, as well as in non-food products excluding fuel, where sales grew 7.9% compared with 12.7% in January. In contrast, retail sales of food, beverages, and tobacco continued to decline, falling 2.6% following a 1.8% decrease in the prior month. On a monthly basis, retail sales dropped 5.8% in February, a smaller contraction than the 13.6% fall recorded in the previous period.
