Morocco Jobless Rate Drops to 13% in Q4

The unemployment rate in Morocco dropped to 13.0% in the fourth quarter of 2025, a decrease from 13.3% in the same period of the previous year. The number of unemployed individuals decreased by 17,000, reaching a total of 1.621 million, while employment figures rose by 194,000, bringing the total to 10.87 million. Concurrently, the labor force expanded by 177,000, totaling 12.49 million. Notably, the unemployment rate among young people saw a slight increase, climbing to 37.2% from 36.7%. However, it decreased among graduates, dropping to 19.1% from 19.6%, as well as among men, where it fell to 10.8% from 11.6%. In terms of sector contributions, the services industry generated 123,000 new jobs, the construction sector added 64,000, and the industrial sector saw an increase of 46,000 jobs. Conversely, the agriculture, forestry, and fishing sectors experienced a decline, losing 41,000 positions.
