Costa Rica Jobless Rate Drops to 6.3% in Q4

In the fourth quarter of 2025, Costa Rica experienced a drop in its unemployment rate to 6.3%, a decrease from the 6.9% recorded during the same period the previous year. The number of unemployed individuals saw a reduction, decreasing by 17,700 to reach a total of 147,500. Concurrently, the employment rate slightly decreased from 52.8% to 51.1%, with the number of employed individuals falling by 47,900, settling at 2.18 million. Additionally, the labor force participation rate declined from 56.7% to 54.5%.
