Annual inflation in Paraguay slowed to 1.9% year-over-year in March 2026, down from 2.3% in February and reaching its lowest rate since October 2020. Food prices rose 3.1%, easing from 6.2% in February, while prices of other goods declined by 1.4%, bringing overall goods inflation down to 0.8%. Services inflation stood at 3.9%, broadly unchanged from 3.8% in the previous month, and income-related inflation was 0.6%. Fuel prices fell 2.6%, following a 12.1% drop in February, with the pace of deflation slowing markedly amid concerns over oil supply disruptions in the Middle East. Core inflation eased to 2.2%, compared with 2.6% in February. On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 0.8% after remaining flat in the prior month.
