Turkey Tourist Arrivals Down 4.02% in June

The number of foreign visitors to Turkey fell by 4.02% year-on-year to 5.54 million in June 2026, following a 3.58% decline in May. Among the five largest source markets, arrivals decreased from Germany (-11.30%), the United Kingdom (-13.87%), and Poland (-3.06%), but rose from Russia (2.13%) and Iran (68.17%).

By region, Europe remained the leading source of foreign visitors, accounting for 49.28% of total arrivals, followed by Asia (13.84%), Africa (2.21%), and the Americas (0.78%). Antalya and Istanbul continued to be Turkey’s top destinations, attracting 36.13% and 29.94% of all foreign visitors, respectively.

Over the first half of 2026, total foreign arrivals declined by 2.96% year-on-year to 20.77 million.
