Brazil’s Service Sector Growth Cools in July, Year-on-Year Pace Slows to 0.9%

Brazil’s service sector expanded at a slower pace in July 2026, with year-on-year growth easing to 0.9%, down from 2.0% in June, according to the latest data updated on 10 September 2026.

The figures reflect a moderation in activity when comparing each month to its performance a year earlier. June’s indicator showed services output 2.0% higher than in June 2025, while July’s reading indicates a 0.9% increase versus July 2025.

The deceleration suggests that momentum in Brazil’s service industry is softening mid-year, potentially signaling a more cautious outlook for domestic demand and related sectors going into the second half of 2026.
