Gold started week with sharp leap

Gold made a record leap during Comex deals on Monday. The precious metal futures for February delivery were up $42.60. The metal ended trading session at $1,218.10 an ounce reaching the high since late October.
The growth of physical demand in India and the fall of the US dollar had a certain impact on it. After Moody's cut Japan's credit rating, the safe assets demand rose sharply on the market, many investors preferred gold.
