Brent Crude is expected to average $55 a barrel in 2015, WTI is likely to trade at $50 a barrel. It is the forecast made by reliable Fitch Ratings agency in January. The estimated value is based on the expectation of weak market conditions in the beginning of the year, as the specialists of Fitch Ratings explained. The agency admits a possibility of a further decline in oil prices after 2015 if the most negative scenario takes place. According to the main scenario by Fitch Rating agency, the price of Brent Crude is seen at $65 a barrel in 2016, WTI, at $60 a barrel. The next target is likely to be at $80 a barrel for Brent and $75 a barrel for WTI. According to the latest estimate by Moody’s, analysts foresee that Brent Crude could rise to $80 by 2016. So, the oil market will recover slowly but surely, prices will start rebounding from the summer of 2015 and come back to $100 a barrel by 2018. Nowadays, Brent Crude is trading below $50 a barrel on the global market.
