China boosts crude oil imports from Russia by 52%

Russian oil exports to China soared by 52% in April 2016 on a yearly basis to 4.81 million tons, Bloomberg said, citing General Administration of Customs for the People’s Republic of China.
In March 2016, China’s imports of crude oil from Russia totaled 4.65 million tons.
Russia, Saudi Arabia and Angola were China’s three major oil suppliers in April.
April imports from Saudi Arabia declined by 22% year-on-year in the reporting period to 4.12 million tons. In March, China imported 3.98 million tons of oil from the kingdom.
Chinese year-on-year oil imports from Angola increased by 39% to 3.98 million tons in April 2016. In the prior month, it came in at 3.62 million tons.
