US economy grows but income inequality increases

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development put the risks of a US recession as a "low-probability prospect", but said that the country witnesses rising income inequality.
According to a report by the OECD, the US economy has displayed growth of 10% compared to the first quarter of 2008. Moreover, the United States overtakes all eurozone counties in terms of economic growth over this period. Additionally, US unemployment is falling, largely due to strong levels of private sector employment.
But, according to the head of OECD, Angel Gurria, the US government is taking insufficient measures to reduce social and income inequality, thus preventing sustainable growth of the US economy.
