Bruce Willis can save vodka’s producer

Bruce Willis, a famous actor and one of the shareholders of Belvedere, will vote for company’s restructuring which will help to save jobs and production. He announced about his intention in the interview to the French newspaper Le Figaro.
The shareholders’ meeting is scheduled for February 12. Willis is the top individual shareholder with 3.0% holding as well as the main creditor of the company. Belveder vodka producing company owes the actor 20 million euro for Sobieski’s promo campaign. Willis is the face of this brand since 2009 when he received company’s stakes as compensation for brand promotion.
In the interview famous actor told that Belvedere’s restructuring is the only sensible option for the company which employs 3.650 people. Willis added that he would not attend the meeting in person.
Belveder, famous for its liquers Marie Brizard, has been in bankruptcy protection for over four years, says Agence France-Presse. Earlier the company managed to negotiate relief of 500 million euro in debt in exchange to its own shares.
