Syrian army regains control over major oil field

The Syrian army troops successfully liberated al-Habari oil field in southwestern Raqqa province, located 520 kilometers from Damascus.

At the moment, government forces continued their operation to the south of the Euphrates River and in some areas went to the contact line with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which mainly consists of Kurdish fighters.

Several sections of the Atherya-Rasafa highway linking Raqqa with Hama and Homs provinces were cleared from ISIL militants.
