Cyber Monday set to become record US online shopping day

According to Adobe Analytics, the volume of sales on Cyber Monday in the United States may increase by 18 percent from 2017. US consumers are on track to spend $7.8 billion, a record amount in online shopping.

Experts believe that the sales volume on Cyber Monday will exceed the results of Black Friday. A record $6.2 billion was spent online during this day, a 24 percent increase from a year ago. At the same time, a number of US online stores, such as Walmart and Target, began offering discounts earlier, on Sunday.

US online sales are projected to total $124 billion this holiday season, according to a forecast from Adobe Analytics. Analysts say that sales were higher by $2 billion from November to October of this year.
