Wealth of millionaires around the globe is up to $46 trln

According to the World Wealth Report 2013, the total wealth of the dollar millionaires in the world has climbed 10% to $46.2 trillion in 2012. One year earlier, that level declined by 1.7% to $42 trillion.
The report says that the number of people worldwide with more than $1 million rose 9.2% and totals 12 million. North America, where the amount of millionaires has increased 11.5% to 3.73 million, tops the rating. It recaptured the title from the closest competitor and last year’s leader - the Asia-Pacific region - with its 3.68 million (9.4% of growth).
North America remains the richest region with $12.7 trillion comparing to the Asia-Pacific one with $12 trillion.
Among the countries leading the world in the number of millionaires are the U.S.A. (3.7 million), Japan (1.9 million), and Germany (1 million).
The World Wealth Report is prepared by RBC Wealth Management and Capgemini Financial Services, which is in top 3 of the largest French multinational companies providing the IT-services. RBC Wealth Management administers the clients’ funds totaling $361 billion. The ranking developers collect the data on assets in 71 countries that show 98% of the world’s income.
