The bank account of fast food manager Reggie Theus from Texas increased to $4 trillion, local news station KLTV reported.
Theus said jokingly that he was ready to give the amount to pay off the U.S. public debt.
In few hours, the bank detected and corrected the technical glitch that occurred during a software upgrade, thus returning Theus’ account into the previous condition.
The bank asked the customer not to disclose its name.
Technical glitches are often the reason for greater errors. For example, back in July Chris Reynolds from Pennsylvania was accidentally given $92 quadrillion to his PayPal account.
PayPal representatives said this was due to the technical error. When asked what he would do if he really did have that money, Reynolds said he would probably offer to pay down the national debt.
