Korea's mind-boggling cult propaganda

There is no law against living the good life! Moreover, it is silly to ban the achievements the better life provides you with. Although North Korea is also called as the Hermit Kingdom for sealing its borders, it keeps up with its neighbors developing political technologies and public relations. Evidently, North Korea is not going to copy the Western patterns paying respects to its national diversity and people. According to official estimates, that the country has allocated more than $500 billion to increase the popularity and create the positive image of country leaders. Thus, for the last two years the government has spent a record sum for self-promotion to boost the personality cult surrounding senior politicians. It was calculated that for the time of Kim Jong-un ruling more than $200 million were splashed out on creation and maintaining of 3,200 obelisks, 400 unique mosaic murals, and titanic statues of Kim II-sung and Kim Jong-il of 23 meters height. Besides, government resources have been invested into the building of significant state projects. Herewith, 40 large administration buildings cost $300 million to the government. The new buildings were named after the family members of the North Korea's leader. Apart from this, the investments were made into Masik ski resort and some of the equestrian centers. Huge construction works were carried out amid overall deterioration in economically crippled North Korea. Despite exports and imports contraction, the government continues spending money. Last year the exports of mineral resources to neighboring China clocked at $1.45 billion. Meanwhile, North Korea could earn only $1.25 billion.
