Russians invested 400 million dollars in Twitter

Web blog TechCrunch informs that Twitter attracted 800 million dollars investments.
This fact was confirmed on the Twitter official blog. Management of the micro blog service does not disclose the amount of investment but it mentioned several companies. The biggest investor is DST Global by Yuri Milner and Alisher Usmanov.
The Financial Times citing an anonymous source announces that Milner and Usmanov’s fund paid 400 million dollars for 5% share in Twitter.
The Wall Street Journal with reference to its own sources writes that Twitter is going to spend a half of the investment on purchasing its shares belonging to other investors. According The Wall Street Journal Twitter now costs 8.4 billion dollars.
During the last financing round which was in December 2010 a group of investors headed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers ventures company invested in Twitter 200 million dollars.
Yuri Milner’s fund also has shares in Facebook social network, Zynga which is engaged in games developing for social networks and Groupon discount service.
