Gold hit new record high

In early Asian session on August 23 gold price broke the level of 1910 dollars per troy ounce, Reuters informs.
In Asian session spot gold surged by 0.8% to 1911.46 dollar per ounce compared to the previous trading session.
Reuters reports that gold is rising for the seventh session in a row. If it continues growing to the end of this month August will show the most significant gain for 39 years.
Investors’ interest in gold and other precious metals is assured by unstable situation on the world stock markets. As analysts forecast, the gold price will be increasing till Friday, August 26, when the Federal Reserve Board Members are due to meet. It is expected that the Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke will announce the next stage of “quantitative easing” program aimed at the national economy support.
