Gazprom to sign new gas deal with China

Gazprom has plans afoot to sign another 30 billion cubic meter/year contract with China, Itar Tass said citing gas giant CEO Alexei Miller. The gas will be supplied by the western route, from Western Siberia through Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Previously, China's CNPC and Russia's Gazprom signed a 30-year gas deal on May 21, 2014. Under the contract, 38 billion cubic meters will be sent annually from Russia to China through the "Power of Siberia" pipeline.
Chayandin gas field will be the resource base for it.
Most Russian gas comes from western Siberia. About 90% of Russia’s total natural gas exports are delivered to European countries.
