Dutch Producers Less Pessimistic In April

Confidence levels among the Netherlands' manufacturers showed a slightly less pessimistic outlook in April, according to data released by the Central Bureau of Statistics.

The manufacturer sentiment index witnessed a slight uptick, registering at -3.6 in April compared to -4.8 in March. However, it should be noted that the most current score is still below the long-standing average of -1.3.

The survey indicated that the manufacturers' mood has improved somewhat with a more positive expectation regarding their activities and a less negative view of their order portfolio. Specifically, the most optimistic sentiment was found within the producers in paper and printing industries. Conversely, the manufacturers in the wood and building materials industries demonstrated the most pessimistic views.
