In the fourth quarter of 2025, average monthly wages in the Czech Republic increased by 5.1% year-on-year, up from 4.5% in the previous quarter and above market expectations of 4.7%. The average gross monthly nominal wage in the national economy reached CZK 52,283, representing a 7.4% rise compared with the same period in 2024. On a quarterly basis, seasonally adjusted average wages grew by 1.8%.
The strongest year-on-year wage growth was recorded in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (15.8%), professional, scientific and technical activities (11.8%), and agriculture, forestry and fishing (11.5%). By contrast, the lowest increases were observed in other service activities (3.4%), and in financial and insurance activities (3.7%).
For 2025 as a whole, the average wage rose to CZK 49,215, an increase of CZK 3,316, or 7.2%, compared with the previous year.
