Jordan Producer Inflation at 4-Month High

Producer prices in Jordan increased by 5.41% year-on-year in September 2026, up from 3.47% in August and marking their highest annual rise since May. The acceleration was mainly driven by stronger price growth in manufacturing (5.60% vs. 3.71%), led in particular by coke and refined petroleum products (49.1% vs. 33.67%) and by fabricated metal products, excluding machinery and equipment (4.23% vs. 0.38%). Price growth also picked up in mining and quarrying (6.46% vs. 1.50%), and edged slightly higher in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (1.78% vs. 1.74%). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 0.92% in September, rebounding from a 0.61% decline in August and returning to positive territory after three consecutive months of contraction.
