In November 2025, Lebanon's annual inflation rate decreased to 14.7%, marking its lowest point in three months, coming down from a ten-month peak of 16.4% seen in the prior month. This deceleration was largely attributed to a reduction in price growth across several sectors. Specifically, there was a noticeable slowdown in housing and utilities, which grew by 15.4% compared to 17.4% in October. Similarly, food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 17.0%, down from 19.4%, while health showed a growth of 2.2% versus the previous 5.0%. The inflation rate for alcoholic beverages and tobacco fell to 8.5% from 9.1%, and for clothing and footwear, it decreased to 7.1% from 7.9%. Additionally, the categories of recreation, amusement, and culture saw a slight drop with prices increasing by 39.8% against 40.4%, and miscellaneous goods and services grew by 26.7% against 27.3%. Notably, the furnishings, household equipment, and routine maintenance category experienced a decline, decreasing by 1.1% compared to a previous increase of 0.8%. However, education and restaurants and hotels maintained their respective growths of 76.8% and 9.7%, while transportation costs saw an acceleration, climbing to 5.4% from 3.9%. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices experienced a modest increase of 0.82% in November, easing from October’s 3.32% rise.
