Czech Jobless Rate Highest Since 2017

In December 2025, the Czech Republic's unemployment rate increased slightly to 4.8%, up from 4.6% in November, aligning with market forecasts. This figure represents the highest unemployment rate since February 2017. The number of unemployed individuals rose by 13,003 compared to the previous month, bringing the total to 354,314. On a year-over-year basis, unemployment saw a notable increase of 47,836. Concurrently, registered job vacancies decreased by 3,205 from the previous month, totaling 87,422.
