According to figures from the Office for National Statistics, the UK economy unexpectedly shrank during the three months leading up to October. British American Tobacco saw a significant drop of over 3%, while mining giants Anglo American, Glencore, Rio Tinto, and Antofagasta fell by 2%, 1.8%, 1.5%, and 0.9%, respectively. In the oil sector, both Shell and BP experienced declines of 0.7% and 0.9%. Similarly, banks such as Lloyds and NatWest also witnessed declines of about 1%.
