Argentina’s trade surplus widened to USD 788 million in February 2026, from USD 275 million in the same month a year earlier. Imports fell 11.8% year-on-year to USD 5.174 billion, reflecting a 14.9% drop in volumes and a 3.7% increase in prices. Exports declined 2.9% to USD 5.962 billion, as export volumes fell 7.1% while prices rose 4.4%. Cumulatively, for the year through February 2026, the trade surplus reached USD 2.977 billion, compared with USD 438 million in the corresponding period of 2025.
