Japan’s industrial production inched up 0.1% month-over-month in July 2026, beating market expectations of a 0.6% decline and extending its growth streak to a fourth consecutive month, preliminary data showed. This followed a 1.9% increase in June, the fastest pace in five months. On a yearly basis, industrial output rose 4.1%, easing from June’s 4.9% gain but still marking the second consecutive month of annual expansion.
