In Tuesday’s regular session, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.64%, while the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite declined 0.57% and 1.15%, respectively. Technology shares retreated as investors took profits after a strong rally in semiconductor names, with Nvidia (-2.4%), Broadcom (-4.4%), Micron (-6.2%), AMD (-7.3%), and Intel (-8.5%) all recording sharp losses.
Meanwhile, SpaceX gained 4.8%, extending its advance since its IPO on Friday, amid reports that the company plans to acquire Cursor in a deal valued at $60 billion.
