Luxembourg’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose to 6.4% in June 2026, up from 6.2% in May, marking its highest level since January 2021. The number of unemployed people increased by 433 over the month, reaching 20,635. At the same time, total employment edged up by 452 to 304,089, and the active labor force among Luxembourg nationals expanded by 886 to 324,724. The number of resident jobseekers grew by 866 to 531,248. In terms of cross-border employment, the number of resident workers employed abroad increased by 26 to 15,320, while incoming cross-border workers rose by 405 to 235,087. In June 2025, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 5.9%.
