Colombia PPI Growth Accelerates in September

Colombia’s Producer Price Index rose 2.20% year on year in September 2026, quickening from a 0.76% increase in August. Mining and quarrying (6.38%), along with agriculture, livestock, forestry, hunting and fishing (4.57%), posted growth rates above the 2.20% overall average, while manufacturing increased by 0.52%. The steepest price gains were observed in potatoes (155.92%), citrus fruits (34.58%) and crude petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (10.42%). By contrast, the main deflationary contributions came from coffee (-32.36%), milled or green coffee (-19.33%) and ethyl alcohol and other alcohols, including denatured alcohols of any concentration (-27.51%).
