Turkey Economic Confidence Lowest in 9 Months

Turkey’s Economic Confidence Index declined to 96.4 in April 2026, down from 97.9 in March, marking its lowest level in nine months as confidence weakened across most sectors. Sentiment in the real sector eased to 98.6 from 100, while the outlook for the retail trade sector deteriorated, with its index falling to 111.6 from 113.6. The services sector index also retreated, dropping to 109.7 from 113.2. In contrast, consumer confidence edged up slightly, with the index rising to 85.5 from 85, and confidence in the construction sector improved, increasing to 83.6 from 80.6.
