In December 2025, Paraguay experienced an increase in its trade deficit, reaching USD 121.90 million compared to USD 105.24 million in the previous year. Export activities showed a 7.7% increase, totaling USD 1.42 billion. This growth was characterized by a 12.0% drop in primary goods, contrasted by a 6.7% rise in industrial products and a 2.8% uptick in fuel and energy exports. On the import side, there was an 8.3% growth to USD 1.55 billion, with significant movements in consumer goods, which rose by 14.4%, a minor decrease of 0.9% in intermediate goods, and an 18.5% surge in capital goods purchases.
