In January, South Korea's Business Survey Index (BSI) for the manufacturing sector showed an improvement, reaching 73, up from 70 in December. There was a noticeable increase in production, climbing from 82 to 87, and new orders also saw a rise, moving from 78 to 83. Inventory levels remained stable at 102, and the financial situation maintained its position at 81. In addition, the Economic Sentiment Index, which integrates the BSI with the Consumer Survey Index, experienced a slight increase to 94.0 in January, a rise of 0.5 points compared to December, indicating a slight boost in overall economic confidence.
