In the fourth quarter, Pfizer's earnings were at negative $3.37 billion, a significant drop from the $5 billion earned in the same period the previous year. Earnings per share (EPS) also fell to negative $0.60 in Q4, compared to positive $0.87 during the same timeframe last year. However, after excluding certain items, Pfizer reported an adjusted earnings of $593 million or $0.10 per share for the period.

Despite these figures, analysts projected a lower earnings per share at negative $0.22. Pfizer's revenue for Q4 stood at $14.25 billion, a decrease from the $24.29 billion reported in the corresponding period last year.
