European Economic News Preview: German Ifo Business Confidence Data Due

On Monday, the leading economic news from Europe will focus on business sentiment in Germany, marking what will be a relatively quiet day for European economic updates.

At 2:00 AM ET, Statistics Norway will release unemployment data for July.

Following this, at 3:00 AM ET, Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE) will publish producer price figures for July. In June, producer prices had shown an annual decrease of 3.5%.

At 3:30 AM ET, minutes from the Swedish central bank's monetary policy meeting that took place on August 19 will be made available.

At 4:00 AM ET, the ifo Institute is set to release the results of Germany's business confidence survey for August. Analysts expect the sentiment index to drop to 86.5 from 87.0 in the previous month.

Simultaneously, unemployment data from Poland will be released. The unemployment rate is projected to edge up slightly to 5.0% in July from 4.9% in June.
