In September 2025, retail sales in Bosnia and Herzegovina experienced a 3.7% increase compared to the same month in the previous year. This follows a revised 3.4% growth in August. The data highlights a notable rise in sales for automotive fuel, which surged by 10.9% compared to a 6.9% increase in August. Meanwhile, there was a rebound in sales of food, beverages, and tobacco, which rose by 0.2% after having decreased by 3.6% previously. Conversely, sales of non-food products showed moderation, recording a 3.2% rise compared to 5.7% in the prior month. On a month-to-month basis, retail trade declined by 1.2% in September, counteracting a 2.0% increase observed in August.
